Ryan Gosling was adamant about filling Lost River — his debut as a feature film writer/director – with gripping, unforgettable images. He hired Benoît Debie (Spring Breakers) to shoot and Company 3’s Siggy Ferstl to handle color grading duties. Starring Eva Mendes (The Place Beyond the Pines) and Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Lost River is set in the most devastated portions of Detroit among the dilapidated houses and the remnants of demolished structures.
