Senior Re-recording Mixer Christian Cooke is an Oscar® Nominated, Emmy® Award-winning artist with over 140 film and television credits in his impressive 40-year career. A second-generation lead sound re-recording mixer, he started his career in 1978 at Soundmix, joining Company 3 (formerly known as Deluxe) in 2015.

Cooke has contributed to several films by David Cronenberg, most recently mixing the eagerly anticipated The Shrouds, for which he and Mark Zsifkovits received the Canadian Screen Award for Best Sound Mixing. His earlier work with Cronenberg includes Eastern Promises and A Dangerous Method.

Additional credits include Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, Guillermo del Toro’s Academy Award®-winning The Shape of Water and its follow-up Nightmare Alley, Mimi Leder’s On the Basis of Sex, and Andrew Niccol’s Anon.

Cooke’s work has been recognized across both film and television. In addition to his Canadian Screen Award, he earned an Emmy® Award and Cinema Audio Society Award for the History Channel’s miniseries Hatfields & McCoys and an additional Emmy nomination for Texas Rising.

Cooke is highly sought after for his ability to create the appropriate soundscape, atmosphere, and dialogue balance and for his organized, methodical approach and grace under pressure.
