Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Letter from Founder and CEO, Stefan Sonnenfeld

As a leading, post-production company and global network of studios that prides itself on the creativity and innovation of our employees, we recognize that diversity, equity, and inclusion are not simply buzzwords or boxes to be checked off on a list, but key values to inform our actions, decisions, and priorities every day. Our commitment to living these values starts with our executive leadership team, including myself, and it is our collective hope that Company 3 / Method Inc. sets the standard for this critical work within our industry. We know that creativity has diversity at its core, and therefore, we have invested in a variety of programs, initiatives, partnerships, and policies that aim to build a strong company culture – a culture that empowers our employees to show up authentically at work and a culture that attracts talent from all backgrounds and experiences. Through these investments in our culture, we want to provide our employees, present and future, with meaningful, rewarding opportunities that enhance their career. As a company, our efforts in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion push us to do and be better, and I wholeheartedly thank our employees, clients, and communities across the globe for taking part in this critical journey with us.

Letter from SVP, Global HR & DEI, Jimi Vaughn

As our society continues to unpack its understanding of the full impact of social injustice, we at Company 3 / Method Inc. have made the conscious decision to hold ourselves stringently accountable for the role we choose to play during this important moment in history. The year 2020 was a pivotal year of reckoning for so many individuals and organizations alike. Each was challenged to truly assess what they are capable of and what they believe. While a global pandemic, civil unrest, and political divides have illuminated the work that still needs to be done, they have also given us a glimpse of what we can achieve when we work together as a community. As an organization, not only are we dedicated to fostering an environment where every employee feels empowered and safe to show up to work, fully as themselves, we are also committed to being a good partner to the communities which we call home. The programs, initiatives, partnerships, and policies that we have implemented and continue to develop help us move closer to these goals each day. Our commitment to our employees and to our communities is reflected in each of our endeavors. We share with you this summary of our initiatives as a sampling of our continued work toward creating the most equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace possible.

Diversity Statement

Creativity has diversity at its core. We celebrate the value of each unique experience by being dedicated to fostering the most diverse, equitable and inclusive culture where every employee feels empowered and safe to show up to work as their full self. It is our policy to provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without regard to race (including traits historically associated with race, such as hair texture, hair type, and protective hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists), color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or cognitive disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.

Key Initiatives

Jump to

Company 3 for Good

Also known as CO3 for Good, this group is our employee-led collective focused on company culture, employee development, and establishing the most diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace possible. In addition to holding Global Meetings where employees engage in roundtable discussion, the group brainstorms ideas for new initiatives to be taken on by CO3 for Good “Participation Groups.” These volunteer groups focus on bringing ideas to life through tangible projects that create lasting impact. Examples of projects include the launch of the Company 3 / Method Inc. Internal Mentorship Program, coordination of External Outreach presentations, and non-profit partnerships to encourage community involvement.

Internal Mentorship Program

The Internal Mentorship Program provides opportunities around skill and career development, generating meaningful educational experiences throughout the global Company 3 / Method Inc. creative services family. By way of 1-on-1 mentorship between employees at different points in their career, the program aims to increase access, awareness, and self-advocacy across the company.

Perspectives Q&A

Each month, the company offers educational webinars on topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Affectionately called “Perspectives Q&A,” these provide our employees with an opportunity to learn from leaders in our company, as well as guest speakers, about a variety of cultures and identities. In many cases, the monthly Perspectives Q&A webinar aligns with the company’s cultural programming calendar, including observances such as Black History Month, Women’s History Month, and Pride Month.

Supplier Diversity Program

Through our Supplier Diversity Program, we intentionally create relationships with small and minority-owned businesses that reflect the rich diversity of the communities where we and our clients call home. Investing in supplier diversity not only promotes creativity and innovation but contributes to the breakdown of systemic barriers to market access that diverse business-owners face.
