Steve Foster has over 25 years of experience in the sound industry and has been a member of Company 3 (formerly Deluxe) since 2016. With a background as a professional musician, he brings a unique musical sensibility to his craft, blending sound dynamics and sonic space to build dramatic tension. His approach to re-recording and sound mixing is from the ground up, creating richness and density while preserving clarity.

An award-winning sound professional, Steve has received a Gemini Award for Dramatic Sound on Everest, a Genie Award for Overall Sound on Paul Gross’ Passchendaele, and four Motion Picture Sound Editor Golden Reels for ADR editing. He is also a member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.

Steve’s recent credits as re-recording mixer include the acclaimed television series Altered Carbon (Season 2), Narcos, Hannibal, The Expanse, Foundation, and Silo, along with features such as Priscilla and A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. Beyond mixing, he also composed the score for the 90s thriller Killer Image, highlighting his versatility across sound and music.
