Jason Hanel has brought his distinctive sensibility to Company 3 (and previously at EFilm) for more than 12 years. He has graded a wide range of marketing campaigns, including film trailers and promotional videos. He is a trusted artist on major animated features, such as The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Sing 2 from Illumination Entertainment, and Luck from Skydance Animation. He has also applied his technical expertise and creative approach to independent features such as the timely drama The Obituary of Tunde Johnson and the horror thriller I See You. Hanel’s recent television work includes the acclaimed Netflix series Green Eggs and Ham. His work spans 3D and HDR finishing, with extensive experience in animated projects across these formats.

Before joining Company 3, Hanel worked at Pacific Title as an online editor and compositor, developing skills that continue to inform his work. A native of Southern California, Hanel began his career as a runner at Sony Pictures Imageworks after graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in Cinema and Still Photography. There, he created short films and captured and printed a wide range of images, both digitally and photochemically. He continues to pursue his interest in photography whenever possible.
