Gareth Thomas, Colorist, joined Company 3 in early 2022 as a Color Assist. He spent the formative years of his career honing his skills at Molinare TV and Film, gaining experience under the tutelage of some of the most regarded colorists in the business. This is where he first worked alongside Senior Colorist, Gareth Spensley, a relationship that continues to this day, often still collaborating on projects.

In mid 2024, Gareth was promoted to colorist and started growing his credit list as both lead and additional colorist across shorts, commercials, episodic and feature work. Recent projects include the acclaimed Reunion, which saw Ollie Downey win Best Cinematography in a Television Drama at this years BSC Awards. Bad Wolf’s The War Between the Land and the Sea and Moonage Pictures’ The Famous Five, which was featured in the Jan/Feb 2026 issue of British Cinematographer Magazine. He also provided the color for Aggy Media’s Christmas advert for The Perfume Shop in 2025, which has gone on to be viewed millions of times.

Gareth studied Engineering at university, which has factored into his approach to his work. This technical and logical background alongside a sustained interest in stills photography has created a well rounded approach to color grading.
