Yerlan Tanayev is a Los Angeles-based Senior Colorist bringing over 15 years of post-production experience, with half of that dedicated to color grading across feature films, commercials, and music videos. His distinctive artistic vision has led to collaborations with a diverse array of renowned directors, DPs, and global brands.

Driven by a passion for the power of color, Yerlan’s journey began in VFX before transitioning to color grading. His credits include work with directors such as Aisultan Seit, Shapxo, and Jake Scott; cinematographers including Natasha Brier, Azamat Dulatov, and Nikita Kuzmenko; and prominent brands like Adidas, Apple, and BMW.

Originally from Almaty, Kazakhstan, Yerlan’s artistic inclinations were nurtured from childhood by his father, Karim Tanayev, a screenwriter and director. He honed his technical skills as an editor and VFX artist before finding his true passion in color grading.
