Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from two schools to our Hollywood facility, where they got an inside look at the world of color grading and post-production, led by our world-class artists.

Students from the American Film Institute (AFI) joined Colorist Jared Pecht for an in-depth session focused on collaboration and efficiency—key skills for navigating high-pressure deadlines while maintaining creative integrity. Jared shared how clear communication, and a strong vision are essential in the color suite.

Later that week, students from Pali High School spent time with Senior Colorist Stephen Nakamura, who offered a firsthand look at how he crafts visual storytelling through color. He walked students through his process for shaping an image to guide the viewer’s eye and enhance the narrative.

Both groups toured our Hollywood studio and experienced live color grading demonstrations, giving them a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the artistry and technology that power our work.
