This past Sunday, the industry’s biggest night in music, the much anticipated 66th Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, hosted by Trevor Noah. Notably, the film Moonage Daydream, directed by Brett Morgen and graded by Company 3 Senior Colorist Tyler Roth, took home the win for Best Music Film.

Speaking on color grading ‘Moonage Daydream’, Tyler comments, “It was a lot of pushing things to extremes or ‘relighting’ and adding colors that weren’t in the original shots… The approach to the grade for Moonage was unlike anything I had experienced or even heard of on other heavily stylized or technically unique projects.”

Moonage Daydream, from HBO Documentary Films, Neon, and Universal Pictures is an immersive exploration of David Bowie’s creative process. Earning over $13 million worldwide during its theatrical run, the film has been deemed the most successful documentary released in 2022-2023.
