Known for his surreal imagery, cinematic color palettes, and ever-evolving cast of alter egos, Tyler, the Creator has cultivated one of the most distinctive visual identities in music. It’s a creative language that Senior Colorist Tyler Roth understands instinctively. Over years of collaboration, the pair have developed a body of work that not only complements Tyler’s iconic music but also expands its storytelling through striking, carefully crafted visuals. 

For CHROMAKOPIA, Tyler, the Creator sought a high-contrast aesthetic defined by warm gold and copper tones. Roth helped shape the project’s signature look, later creating an in-color version for the explosion sequence and promotional materials. His work is also evident in the bold contrast of color in ‘Come On, Let’s Go,’ where the vibrant yellows stand out against a backdrop of cool blue hues. 

Through projects like these, Roth’s color work has become an integral part of how audiences experience Tyler, the Creator’s world. Reflecting on their collaboration, Roth says, “He’s a genuine talent, and I love the vast range of projects we’ve collaborated on together.”
