Nurturing the NExT Generation: 2025 Summer Intern Recap

July 29, 2026 Jul. 29, 2026

At Company 3, we’re committed to developing the next generation of post-production professionals. Through our NExT (Nurturing Exceptional Talent) Summer Internship Program, we continue to offer post-secondary students and recent graduates an immersive experience in our industry. Over ten weeks, interns join us across North America to explore color, sound, finishing, and VFX, while also learning the workplace skills and values that shape successful careers. As we recognize National Intern Day and celebrate the next generation of post-production talent, we reflect on the achievements and lasting impact of our 2025 NExT cohort.

Hands-On Learning and Technical Growth

Our 2025 interns quickly discovered that the pace and scale of post-production work can be both challenging and rewarding. “The workflow and scale of the place hit me at once,” recalled Matija Margetić, Post-Production Intern at Company 3 Los Angeles. “Watching the team’s attention to detail and ability to pivot when clients changed their minds taught me that great artists adapt instantly without losing quality.”

At Company 3 Vancouver, Reginald “Reggie” Gecale, Post-Production Intern, described being trained in the dailies department as a highlight. He worked with real movie footage, learning the full process of prepping, syncing, and packaging for editorial. He also sat in with senior artists and credited the entire studio for “showing [him] the ropes of what working in a world-class post-production company looks like.”

Supportive Teams and Mentorship

Mentorship remained a cornerstone of the program. Anna Keiderling, Post-Production Intern at Company 3 Los Angeles, reflected on the guidance she received from the Features Production team: “They empowered me to explore, contribute, and grow through meaningful, real-world experience.”

Similarly, Fayza Shammin, Post-Production Intern at Company 3 New York, said she left the summer with both mentors and lifelong memories. “I felt lucky to be in rooms with top artists who were welcoming, fun, and genuinely invested in teaching the next generation.”

Community and Collaboration

Beyond technical training, interns valued the sense of belonging and teamwork that defined their experiences. Grace Lavery, Post-Production Intern at Company 3 Los Angeles, shared how she learned from finishing editors, assisted top-level colorists, and was inspired by leaders such as Jill Bogdanowicz and Angelica Lopez. “The knowledge, kindness, and support I received are things I’ll carry with me as I begin the next chapter of my career.”

At Company 3 Atlanta, Daniel Kee, Post-Production Intern, summed up the experience as both professional and personal: “Not being from Atlanta, I was welcomed into Company 3 like a second home. Everyone wanted me to have access to the resources and support to grow.”

Looking Ahead

The 2025 internship program was about more than gaining technical skills — it was about adaptability, mentorship, and community. Each intern’s journey reflected the characteristics we strive to nurture across Company 3.

This National Intern Day, we celebrate both our past cohort and the newest interns who recently joined our North America teams this summer as our 2026 cohort. We wish them all the best!
