Creative Team Behind NFL ‘Champion’ Wins Sports Emmy

The winners of the 47th Annual Sports Emmy Awards were announced last night, with Company 3’s Senior Colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld and the brilliant creative team behind the NFL’s Super Bowl LX spot, Champion, winning the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Public Service Content – Sports.

Directed by Rupert Sanders and shot by Hoyte Van Hoytema, the award-winning piece was color graded by Stefan Sonnenfeld. Airing ahead of the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, the spot centers on a young boy echoing his coach’s words, underscoring the impact of mentorship and ending with the message, “Belief is a superpower.”

The recognition highlights the collaboration behind the project and the creative teams whose work continues to shape sports storytelling on screen.
