We’re thrilled to announce that our Toronto sound team has received a nomination from the Association of Motion Picture Sound (AMPS) for Excellence in Sound for a Feature Film for their work on Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. This prestigious recognition highlights the exceptional artistry and technical mastery that Christian Cooke and Brad Zoern brought to the film’s immersive soundscape.

Frankenstein has captivated audiences with its rich, atmospheric sound design, crafted by Company 3 Senior Re-Recording Mixer Christian Cooke and Re-Recording Mixer Brad Zoern. Their Dolby Atmos mix delivers depth, clarity, and emotional resonance, earning widespread critical acclaim, a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Sound, and recognition on major awards circuits, including being shortlisted for an Oscar and longlisted for a BAFTA. Today’s AMPS nomination further underscores the film’s standout achievement in sound and the Toronto team’s dedication to elevating every moment on screen.

Alongside the sound work, Company 3 provided finishing, dailies, and color grading services from Senior Colorists Stefan Sonnenfeld and Dave Muscat, helping bring Guillermo del Toro’s vision to life with striking visuals and seamless post-production workflows. Together, these contributions have played a central role in crafting a cinematic experience that resonates with audiences and industry peers alike.

The AMPS Awards, now in their 13th year, are among the most respected accolades in the industry, celebrating excellence in sound craft across film and television. Honoring production sound mixers, supervising dialogue/ADR editors, supervising sound editors or designers, and re-recording mixers, the awards highlight projects that truly elevate storytelling through sound.
