Company 3 Senior Colorist Joseph Bicknell Wins AICP Award

June 6, 2025 Jun. 6, 2025

The winners of the 2025 AICP Awards have been announced following an industry-wide celebration at MoMA. We’re thrilled to share that Company 3 Senior Colorist Joseph Bicknell, based in New York, won the award for Color Grading :60-:90 for his work on Reporters Without Borders’ ‘The First Speech’.

This is yet another win for the project, which previously secured the silver award for Color Grading at CICLOPE 2024.

‘The First Speech’ is part of a powerful Reporters Without Borders campaign that highlights the vital work of journalists who risk their lives to expose injustice and hold the powerful accountable. The film powerfully reveals the initially hopeful and beautiful words used by modern autocrats when they become presidents, only for them to quickly turn against human rights and independent journalism.

Alongside Joseph’s win, we’re also delighted to see that Doechii’s ‘Denial is a River,’ with color grade by Bryan Smaller, was awarded Best in Show and Music Video, Google ‘Dream Job,’ with color grade by Kath Raisch, was awarded for Storytelling, and Gucci ‘The Gucci Savoy Duffle,’ with color grade by Tom Poole, was awarded for Fashion/Beauty.

The AICP Post Awards continue to be a vital celebration of the artistry and technical prowess within the post-production landscape. These awards spotlight individual contributions across various disciplines, including color grading.

Congratulations once again to Joseph and the team behind the Reporters Without Borders campaign, and to our many clients who also received awards.
