TFCA Awards Gala

Toronto Film Critics Association (TFCA) held its 26th annual Awards Gala last night, honoring the best in cinema from the past year. The event hosted some of the biggest names in the Canadian film industry. Among the night’s big winners was Charlotte Wells ‘Aftersun,’ winning four top awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best First Feature, and Best Actor (Paul Mescal). Other notable wins include ‘TÁR,’ for which Cate Blanchett won Best Actress, and ‘Nope,’ for which Keke Palmer won Best Supporting Actress.

Steve Gravestock, a veteran Toronto International Film Festival programmer, was recognized with the Company 3 Luminary Award. This award acknowledges his contributions to the film industry and his substantial contribution throughout his career to Canadian cinema.

Overall, the event celebrated the diversity and creativity of the film industry and highlighted the exceptional work of some of its brightest stars. Congratulations to all of last night’s winners.
