SXSW Film & TV Festival is in full swing in Austin, TX, celebrating its 31st year with a powerhouse lineup of groundbreaking films, television projects, and immersive media. With 111 features—90 of them world premieres—alongside 57 short films, 19 music videos, and 17 TV projects, the festival continues to push creative boundaries. This year also marks a major shift for SXSW as it expands its global footprint with the upcoming launch of SXSW London.

Company 3 provided color and finishing services to 17 projects featured at this year’s festival, including 12 making their highly anticipated world premiere. Kicking off the festivities on opening night, Another Simple Favor, graded by Senior Colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld, set the stage for an exciting week of premieres. Directed by Paul Feig and starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, the sequel made its grand debut with Amazon MGM Studios. Over the weekend, The Accountant 2, graded by Senior Colorist Yvan Lucas, premiered at the Paramount Theatre on March 8, drawing major star power. Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, and Matt Damon were spotted at the event, celebrating the sequel’s arrival at SXSW.

Sabrina Carpenter’s official ‘Please Please Please,’ music video from her Short n’ Sweet album is making waves in the Music Video Competition. Graded by Senior Colorist Tim Masick and shot on film by cinematographer Sean Price Williams, the video serves as a sequel to Carpenter’s earlier ‘Espresso’ music video, continuing her exploration of themes of role reversals and power dynamics.

Beyond the screenings, SXSW has been buzzing with immersive experiences, including FX’s activation for Alien: Earth. Guests were transported to a mysterious wreckage site in the heart of Austin, embarking on an exploratory mission through an alien-infested crash site. Fans got up close with eerie specimens, uncovering exclusive details from the upcoming series along with giveaways and photo ops. Alien: Earth, graded by Senior Colorists Tom Poole and Matt Osborne, premieres this summer on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
